My Final... My Final Piece!

Well this is it! My final piece is done...
It's about time to, I was starting to lose it a little, but I am happy with the result and now just waiting to see how the exhibition goes!
(Tuesday June 10 2014 - Sutton Coldfield Campus)

My final piece?

My tables actually go really well with my piece, they have made my piece feel more like a room and gives of a welcoming vibe.

My piece so far...

The tables have been decorated with leftover material and I have added flowers and my pictured frames to make it look like that someone actually owns it.

More close up photographs of object within my piece...

When I think my piece is finished...

The back wall just looked to plain I needed to add something to it but what?

The Table Conclusion

In the end I got help to make two tables in our college workshop as the tables that were already available were not good enough. In a way I glad this happened as I learnt how to make a table out of bits of wood found around the workshop plus it adds to my experimenting with different materials.

Setting up...

Sorry I have not posted in a while this week has just been insane. As it is exhibition building week! Everything has to be perfect... I began by using 4 college tables two taller ones and two shorter ones however I got told they were not appropriate enough for the show and I did not even get the chance to attempt to set my piece up the way I wanted. So I had to settle and figure another way around this.

On the taller tables towards the front - My main Photoshop photograph (back middle), an invitation I made to welcome the audience into my piece (front middle) and the individual photograph I had taken of the models earlier in the project, to give the audience an idea of how they could dress up and interact with my piece (left and right sides).

On the lower tables towards the back - Would of been all the traditions and symbols I have been looking at throughout the course. For the African side (right) I have placed things into jars as seen in an earlier post to recreate certain traditions and rituals the people in Africa may do. For the Chinese side (left) I have placed a tea set and heart jar/glass plate type types to symbolise the tea ceremony as it is a very important part of any Chinese wedding.
