My Final Major Project theme is Wedding Traditions, Rituals and Superstitions - I chose this theme out of interest and I am soon to be taking a university course in Events Management however I do not want to be planning weddings. The theme of weddings came up as in July I will be a bridesmaid for my Aunt and I thought this would tie in nicely into all events that is happening in my life at the moment. Seminar
On Thursday I made a Microsoft PowerPoint Presentation of everything I have done for the project up until this point and presented it to my class. Above are my feedback forms and I scored between 4-5 out of 5 for everything. This gave me a real confidence boost as I am not very good at public speaking plus my past two seminars throughout the course haven't gone so well. So this was a major rise for me.

Movie Maker
IMovie was the programme I used to edit my film, this gave me the chance to edit my movie by cropping sections, adjusting the volumes and changing the effects of the video as a whole. I also sped up the speed to make the video more fun it was almost like a big art attack.

Filming the Scene
So today I decided to film me setting up a scene similar to the Arnolfini Portrait that I have been working on throughout the project. Above are images of the photo studio at my college before the set up of the scene.
I had the camera on a tripod so I could just leave it to record so I could start setting up the scene.
On the left is the Chinese scene and on the right is the African scene.
To begin with it was harder than I excepted as I wasn't to sure on how to do it as what I had in mind wouldn't work out so I just decided to film everything I did to test it out. In my opinion the photographs of the scene worked really well. I prefer the photographs above to the actually video scene itself.
This time instead of just throwing different fabrics over the models, I borrowed some costumes from the performing arts department which helped me a lot it made the outfits look more realistic.
Chinese Style - End result
African Style - End Result.
