Arnolfini and African Wedding - I got an image of a African bride and groom placed them onto acetate, photocopied the acetated piece on top of the Arnolfini portrait to create a layering effect. I also did this in black and white to see how the colours would contrast. I enlarged the top half of the bride as that is where the images contrasted the most between the two brides. However the groom did not turn out very well as each image was really dark to layer on top of each each.
Arnolfini Portrait and Chinese Wedding - I did the same again to some Chinese images I had found. I layered the acetate onto the portrait and photocopied to see what effect this would create. Again the bride's top half work really well, but the groom side was really dark in the black and white version.
Arnolfini Portrait and 21st Century Wedding - I did the same for a third time to experiment however this time the bride's top half made a really creative effect like the image is moving back in time. I really like to work with this image to develop further as I like the way this effect has been created.
