Artist Research

Some more extra research on artists who recreate paintings

Jane Perkins - [Plastic Collection] uses objects that can be found around the house (example: buttons, beads, kitchen utensils etc...)

I tried my own version of the Arnolfini Portrait in the style of Jane Perkins. OK so I know its not the best piece of art work however this did take me 5 minutes as it was to show experimenting in my sketchbook whereas Jane Perkins could take up to 3 weeks to complete one recreation.

I then came across to artists that use Lego to recreate paintings.
Marco Sodano uses flat Lego to mimic the colours of the painting, you can still tell what painting he is trying to create however there is not much detail on it.
Marco Pece uses 3D Lego which brings out more detail and makes the piece more fun to view.
