So today I decided to film me setting up a scene similar to the Arnolfini Portrait that I have been working on throughout the project. Above are images of the photo studio at my college before the set up of the scene.
I had the camera on a tripod so I could just leave it to record so I could start setting up the scene.
On the left is the Chinese scene and on the right is the African scene.
To begin with it was harder than I excepted as I wasn't to sure on how to do it as what I had in mind wouldn't work out so I just decided to film everything I did to test it out. In my opinion the photographs of the scene worked really well. I prefer the photographs above to the actually video scene itself.
This time instead of just throwing different fabrics over the models, I borrowed some costumes from the performing arts department which helped me a lot it made the outfits look more realistic.
Chinese Style - End result
African Style - End Result.
